Life Without Nanny

Hello. My name is Holly and I'm a mother of three boys.  Just like everyone else, we're doing most of it on our own. This site came to be because of my trials and tribulations of juggling, family, work and friends.

My Story

I am a full time mother, part-time employee. My husband and I met over seven years ago and started our family of five, four years ago. We both work for the local hospital and my husband is also a firefighter (soon to be EMT) on the side. The whole idea for this site sparked from the things that arise when both parents or at least one parent works.

My mission is to one day own a large chunk of land somewhere. To have a huge garden and greenhouse where we grew most of our own food. A big barn where we raise cows, goats, chickens and horses. Teach my children what it takes to be self sustaining in this day and age. I would want alternative sources of power, where I use whatever nature conjures up to produce the power for this little farm. I want the cows and goats to produce raw organic milk. The chickens would roam free and produce beautiful and colorful eggs. We would ride our horses around this property in awe of it's glory.


But until that day... We're just workin' to get there!
